Aviator's Checklist is not just like paper checklists or like a computer spreadsheet. It has been conceived, carefully designed and created to be used on an iPad. The result is a completely new way to run checklists that takes full advantage of iPad capabilities.
Electronic Flight Bag. Touch Devices. Future is already here. Why do we see as normal to accidentally exit the checklist because we touch the wrong part of the screen? Why do you think it's your fault when you accidentally check an item as done because you moved and slightly touched the screen? There's no excuse for that. And that's why SafeCheckGestures came to our mind.
You can purchase the Edit Mode Upgrade that allows you to create, edit, reorder or modify in any way your own checklists. You can also share them with your friends, colleagues or load it in all your devices. The creation/edition process is done directly in the iPad, allowing to easily share your procedures with anyone.
Distractions happen. Loosing the current item or acidentally checking one are dangerous and common things. That's why in order to check an item, you have to do an easy and natural gesture, but a gesture very hard to do unintentionally. That drastically reduces the possibility of checking an item by accident. Also, to exit a working checklist you have to purposely abort the procedure or declare emergency, with some controls very hard to be activated by mistake. (To obtain the most of these features we recommend using a cover that hides the home button and deactivate iOS multitouch gestures that allow switching apps with a hand movement).
It's easy to navigate between checklists, thanks to the intuitive menu. It's really fast to find the procedure you need. The interface has been cleared of any distracting elements so you can focus in your task: commanding an aircraft.
Aviator's Checklist is suitable both for professional and amateur pilots. But that's not all. It's strongly indicated for flight instructors that want to teach the importance of a checklist and in flight simulators, since it guides the pilot making him follow the procedure as it is. And since you can create your own checklists, home flight simulation enthusiasts can use it too.
